01 Our commitment

Emerson Search LLC is dedicated to guaranteeing digital accessibility for individuals with disabilities. We continuously enhance the user experience for all visitors and implement applicable accessibility standards across our website (emersonsearch.com) and our recruiting services.

Accessibility is not a formality to be checked off; it is a fundamental requirement of our work. As a recruiting firm that places candidates from all backgrounds, we hold that our own digital tools must be operable by every candidate — including those who browse the web using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification software, switch devices, or alternative input methods.

Need an accommodation? If any portion of our website or process presents a barrier for you, reach out to us at accessibility@emersonsearch.com or call +1 (866) 519-3742. We will respond within two business days and supply a workaround or corrective action.

02 Conformance standard

Our website is built to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as issued by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard cited by the US Department of Justice in ADA Title III enforcement actions and is broadly recognized as the practical benchmark for accessible web content.

We additionally reference Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act and the European Accessibility Act (EAA) where relevant to our international operations.

03 Accessibility features

The accessibility features listed below are implemented across our entire website:

3.1 — Visual design

  • Color contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG AA minimums (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text);
  • No information is conveyed by color alone; we always pair color with text labels, icons, or shapes;
  • Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality;
  • Focus indicators are visible and high-contrast on all interactive elements.

3.2 — Keyboard & navigation

  • All functionality is operable through a keyboard alone (Tab, Enter, Space, Escape, Arrow keys);
  • Logical tab order follows the visual reading order;
  • Skip-to-content links are provided on multi-section pages;
  • No keyboard traps exist on any page;
  • The site honors browser-level user preferences such as prefers-reduced-motion.

3.3 — Screen readers & structure

  • Semantic HTML5 elements (nav, main, article, aside, section) are used throughout;
  • Heading levels (h1 through h4) follow a logical, sequential hierarchy;
  • ARIA labels and roles are provided for interactive elements;
  • All images include descriptive alt attributes (or empty alt for purely decorative content);
  • Form fields have associated labels, helper text, and inline error messaging.

3.4 — Multimedia

  • Video content (when used) includes synchronized captions and descriptive transcripts;
  • Audio content includes a complete text transcript;
  • Auto-playing media is disabled by default.

04 Assistive technology

Our website has been tested and confirmed to work with the following assistive technologies on current operating systems and browsers:

Assistive technologyTested with
VoiceOver (macOS, iOS)Safari, Chrome
NVDA (Windows)Firefox, Chrome, Edge
JAWS (Windows)Chrome, Edge
TalkBack (Android)Chrome
Dragon NaturallySpeakingChrome
Browser zoom & magnifiersAll major browsers, up to 400%

If you use an assistive technology not included above and experience issues, please inform us — we want to hear about it.

05 Known limitations

Despite our ongoing efforts, certain areas of our website may not yet achieve full accessibility. The following known limitations and corresponding remediation plans are currently in place:

  • Interactive US map: the geographic markers on our "Our Offices" map use SVG with keyboard support, but voice-control of the markers requires a tab-based fallback. An accessible text-only office list is provided immediately below the map.
  • Third-party embeds: Google Maps iframes (used for individual office locations) inherit Google’s own accessibility implementation, which is outside our direct control.
  • Live chat widget: if you use our live chat, we recommend Chrome or Edge with NVDA for the best experience.

We are actively pursuing solutions for each of these items and encourage reports of any additional issues.

06 Third-party content

Our website may contain content, embedded elements, or links from third parties (such as Google Maps, partner logos, or career portals managed by client employers). These are subject to the accessibility practices of their respective providers, over which Emerson Search exercises limited control. We make every effort to select third-party providers that satisfy WCAG 2.1 AA standards, and we will collaborate with you to offer an accessible alternative for any third-party content you are unable to access.

07 Feedback & assistance

We value your feedback regarding the accessibility of our website and services. If you come across an accessibility obstacle or have a recommendation for improvement, please get in touch with us:

  • Email: accessibility@emersonsearch.com
  • Phone: +1 (866) 519-3742 · option "Accessibility & Accommodations"
  • Mail: Emerson Search LLC, Attn: Accessibility Officer, 110 East 42nd Street, Suite 1400, New York, NY 10017

Our goal is to acknowledge accessibility feedback within two (2) business days and to deliver a remediation, workaround, or accessible alternative within fifteen (15) business days, depending on the complexity involved.

08 Formal complaints

If you feel we have not sufficiently addressed an accessibility concern, you may submit a formal complaint to:

  • The US Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division — www.ada.gov or 1-800-514-0301 (voice) / 1-800-514-0383 (TTY);
  • Your state Attorney General’s office;
  • For California residents: the California Civil Rights Department at calcivilrights.ca.gov.

09 Ongoing improvement

Our accessibility program is in a state of continuous improvement. We:

  • Conduct quarterly automated accessibility audits using axe DevTools and WAVE;
  • Engage independent accessibility consultants for annual manual audits;
  • Train all designers and engineers on accessibility best practices as part of onboarding;
  • Include accessibility acceptance criteria in every new feature specification;
  • Welcome and act on feedback from users of assistive technology.

This statement was most recently reviewed and revised in April 2026 and undergoes review at minimum once per year.
